Palazzo Vecchio map with entrances and highlights
Red numbers mark the highlights in and around the palace and blue E labels mark the doors where visitors go in; a dashed line means the point sits behind a building.

Highlights on the map
- Arnolfo Tower: The 95 m tower: 418 steps, no lift, booked slots on its own ticket, not for children under 6, and closed when it rains (the medieval walkway can stay open).
- Hall of the Five Hundred (Salone dei Cinquecento): The council hall on the first floor, with Vasari's battle scenes on the walls and Michelangelo's Genius of Victory; the Studiolo of Francesco I opens off its south end.
- Rooms of the Priors: Hall of Lilies and Map Room: On the second floor, west side: Donatello's original Judith and Holofernes in the Hall of Lilies and the 16th-century globe and painted maps of the Wardrobe.
- Apartments of the Elements: The 16th-century apartments built for Cosimo I on the east side, with Vasari's frescoes of the gods and the Terrace of Juno looking towards Santa Croce.
- Loggia dei Lanzi: The open-air sculpture gallery on the square, with Cellini's Perseus and Giambologna's Rape of the Sabine Women.
- Piazza della Signoria: The civic square on two sides of the palace; the copy of Michelangelo's David stands at the main door.
- Fountain of Neptune: Ammannati's marble fountain at the north-west corner of the palace.
- Uffizi Gallery: The gallery's two wings start just south of the palace, across Via della Ninna.
